Congrats Grad 2010 Cards

Hello everyone! Graduation season will soon be upon us, so I wanted to get a head start! I used my Gypsy to design the custom 2010 cards using my Pooh Font cricut cartridge. I then made girl and boy graduate dolls with different  hair colors using the Everyday Paper Dolls cricut cartridge. I made the tassels for their hats with embroidery floss and attached them with mini brads to look like the little "knob" on the top of the hats.  For their diploma's, I just tightly rolled paper and tied them with embroidery floss. I hope your week is going great so far! Happy CREATING to you!!!!

Hugs,
Nikki

PeachyKeen Challenge 27

Hey everyone! Time for another PK Challenge, YEAH! The challenge this time is a color and image inspiration challenge {above photo}. Other than that, just play, have fun, and CREATE! The photo's and colors reminded me of the life in my backyard this time of year. I have  a pair of painted buntings that I snapped a few {million!} pictures of, and the female is what inspired my card.
here is her husband ;o)
Ok, enough about my birdie love! Here is my card...
I used Happy Bird and Phrases for the Mama birdie, and the baby birdie and sentiment are from the  Happy Mother's Day set. Both sets can be purchased together for a great promo deal HERE. I hope you will come and play along with us! This challenge will be judged, and you could win a $25 gift certificate to PeachyKeenStamps.com!!! COOL! So hop on over to the Challenge Blog and see what the other talented ladies on the design team have done!

Just Married *Congrats* Card

Happy Sunday! My friend Teresa asked me to make her a wedding congrats card, and this is what I came up with. I used Sweethearts for the car cut. I tried to cut out the just married license plate, but it cut so tiny I gave up and just wrote it in myself. ;o) Just a pretty simple card, but I think this car cut is so cute it would be a shame to distract very much from it.

Have a great night....DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES IS NEW ;o)
ooooooooooh and NEW BREAKING BAD TOO! Good TV night!

Hugs,
Nikki

p.s. I hope YOU like it Teresa! ;o)

You Wind Me Up

Yep, that's right, I managed to make a robot out of kraft cardstock! LOL I think maybe I should seek out a kraft-o-holic meeting somewhere! ;o) Anyhoozle, I broke in my new Robotz cartridge today, and this was the result. The robot was cut at 3 inches and the gear he is mounted on was cut at 4 inches. This really didn't photograph very well, the colors are better in real life.
HAPPY FRIDAY AND HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!

Birthday Fun with Create-a-Critter

My friend's lil' guy is turning one at the end of the month, and this is the card I made for him. I hope he likes it, LOL! The train, lion, balloon, and clouds are all from Create-a-Critter. The train track is from Everyday Paper Dolls. I used my Gypsy to size everything to fit by creating a 4.25 x 5.5 rectangle. I made sure all the pieces fit nicely in it (representing the card front)...and then I just deleted the rectangle before cutting. SUPER EASY! This card looks pretty simple, but it took a while because of all the white pen work I did. Here is the side view to show what's popped up.
Well I hope you're having a GREAT DAY!

Cool Cat Card *Create-a-Critter*

Hello! Although I am STILL hoping for a Kitty cartridge, I am STOKED about the 2 kitties on the Create-a-Critter cartridge! They are both super cute! This is the second kitty in the booklet and she is just as regal as can be perched on her fluffy pink pillow. ;o) This is just a super simple card. The "cool cat" sentiment is from a stamp set by Pink Cat Studio, GASP, not PeachyKeen! LOL

Have a PURR-FECT day!

P.S. This cartridge is SO EASY TO LAYER!!!

We're A Pear Card

Hello! I have been having fun breaking in my new cartridges! For this card I used the pear from Preserves and the "we're a pear" phrase from Just Because Cards. I figured out that having the Gypsy will be helpful with the "just because" cards cartridge if you want to use the cuts for something other than with the specific card they go with. The cricut cuts them proportionately, so if you cut something at 3 inches it is TINY because it is supposed to fit on a 3 inch card. Get it? I think that made sense, LOL.
I cut the pear at 2.75 inches from Coredinations "Nostalgia" cardstock and the greens in that stack are PERFECT for the pear! I used my Gypsy to size the word art and it came out to be cut at 4.36 inches. The patterned paper is from the Nook and Pantry collection by Basic Grey. The ribbon and button twine are from papertreyink.com. LOVE their stuff!

I hope you're having a FABULOUS day! I am super excited for TV tonight...THE RETURN OF GLEE!!!! I don't know about you all, but I am a total GLEEK!!!!!! ;o)

Sweet Thoughts of You *MPS challenge*

Hello and happy Saturday peeps! Robyn, a.k.a. My Pink Stamper, posted a challenge on her blog today and this is my take on it. The challenge was to use the cricut and  the colors pink, green, and black. For my card I used my Once Upon a Princess cricut cartridge to cut out the super cute ice cream cone. I used the Everyday Character faces from PeachyKeenStamps.com to give them their sweet faces. I thought the "oh" face was cute because she is cold. LOL
The sentiment stamp is from the Simply Sweet Occasions stamp set by My Pink Stamper. Well I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

You Make My Heart Sing

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted much in the last week...My Nana was here and we were BUSY SCRAPPIN'!!! She left this morning :o( so to cheer myself up I made this card. The sweet little birdie stamp is a NEW PK stamp in the Happy Bird and Phrases set. I stamped her on the card base and left it uncolored. I stamped her again and colored her in and pop dotted her up. I punched 6 hearts and made heart "sandwiches" over some twine for her to hold as a little banner.
Anyhoo, you should check out the AWESOME PROMO peachykeenstamps is having on this set and the other BRAND NEW set...It really is an awesome deal. Have I enabled enough yet??? LOL   You can see this super duper great fantastic deal HERE. These stamps will make ADORABLE Mom's day cards, and Mom's day will be here before you know it!

Have a Tweet Weekend!!! :o)

Easter Cards

Hi! Here are two of the Easter cards I made using the Easter 2010 cartridge and the A Child's Year cartridge. I used my Gypsy to size the scalloped frame from ACY to be a square instead of a rectangle. LOVE MY GYPSY! ;o) These are basically the same cards, but what a difference some googlie eyes make! LOL
HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY!!! HAVE A BLESSED EASTER!!!!

My Nana will be here in a few hours and we are going to be having some SERIOUS CRAFTING FUN!!!!

Lamby Hugs!
