thank you

Hello! Happy almost Friday!!! I just want to say right off the bat that I sooooo wish this card would have photographed better! It looks a million times cooler in real life. Oh well. ANYHOO...I stamped the super awesome Lattice Background stamp from PeachyKeenStamps. I heat embossed it to make little "pools" for the inks to stay in. I used my distress markers in worn lipstick, dried marigold, mustard seed, shabby shutters, tumbled glass, and milled lavender. After I colored I spritzed it with perfect pearls and water to give it shimmer...
I used the same colors and did the same thing for the heart. {just hand cut it, no cricut}  After it dried, I added glossy accents to it. The sentiment is from the So Grateful For You set from MyCreativeTime

You're a scream!

Hello! I felt like stamping this morning, so I did. :) I used 4 different sets from PinkByDesign. First I made the ice cream from the Sweet Summer set using berrylicious and lime pastel colorbox fluid chalk inks and a technique called "kissing". To do this technique you ink up the solid image {the ice cream} and "kiss" it to another stamp. I used the Tiny Dots background stamp from PinkByDesign. By "kissing" the inked solid stamp to the NON inked Tiny Dots stamp, it removes ink from the solid stamp and leaves dots behind! Cool, huh?!
For the background I used my distress markers in worn lipstick and shabby shutters to color the dots on the Bubbly Background stamp from PinkByDesign. Before I stamped it, I sprayed the stamp with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister so it would look kinda melty and marbled. I swear it looks cool in real life. And to finish, I added the sentiment from the Animated Greetings set.  Get it? Scream? Hahaha I crack me up! ;)        OH I forgot to mention that I used pumice stone distress ink for the cone from the Sweet Summer set. I stamped it off once to lighten the color before stamping on kraft.

Sorry the photos are kinda horrible, it's still really dark here from TS Debby.

PeachyKeen Challenge 23

Hello! It's PeachyKeen challenge time again and this time around ANYTHING GOES! :) For my card I stamped and paper pieced this sweet fairy girl from the June 2012 set. I just love her! I stamped the Flower Power Frame background and colored it with prismacolor colored pencils. I didn't bother to blend the colors because I wanted to go over each flower with the clear star sakura glitter pen. I swear the colors match in real life. You can see the sparkle better here...
I wish I could have gotten better pictures. grr. Anyhoo, I used black enamel accents for the flower centers. The sweet fairy girl is on an action wobble so she wiggles. :) Head over to the Challenge BLOG to play along with us!!!

MyCreativeTime June Release Sneak Day 2

Hello! Welcome to day 2 of sneaks for the June release from MyCreativeTime. For this card I used the new sets called Fly Away With Me Stamps, Fly Away With Me Sentiments, and Fly Away With Me Dies. I paper pieced that sweet hot air balloon from the Fly Away With Me Stamps with paper from the Hello Summer collection from Echo Park.
I used the cloud dies from the Fly Away With Me Dies to create my background paper and I took a few pictures of the process. SUPER EASY!
I cut out a bunch of clouds using Post-it Craft paper. It's sticky on the back, just like a Post-it, so it peels off easily and won't rip the paper. Just make sure to rub it down well so that the ink doesn't get underneath.
Add your ink...peel up the masks...and voila! Your own sky background!
The masks are still sticky when you peel them up, so you can reuse them. :)

One stamp...2 cards

Hello! I got my new Market Street Stamps in the mail and was super excited to start playing with them. I just LOVE this floral image called GROW sooooo much! I decided to make 2 cards....one being very simple and the other more labor intensive. For this first card, I stamped the Grow stamp on sticky back canvas with black archival ink. I pulled out some threads to unravel the edges...
I finished it off with some pearls {that match in real life} and some twine and a button. The button is from last month's Peachy Picks Kit. SUPER SIMPLE card, but it's cool because of the canvas texture. And here is the labor intensive card...
Totally different look, right?! This is why stamping is SO AWESOME! :) For this card I spent a LONG time paper piecing. I cut out everything {even the teeny tiny bits}. I used paper from the Walk in the Park collection by Echo Park. I seriously love how this card turned out!
To finish, I added liquid pearls and glossy accents. OH I should mention that I used the scraps of patterned paper that I used for paper piecing to make the background. Waste not........ ;)

You feel like home to me

Hiya bloggy friends! For this card I used the adorable Neighborhood stamp from MarketStreetStamps. The cutest 3 little houses ever! :) I paper pieced them with paper from the Hello Summer collection by Echo Park. I also used that paper for the 3 little hearts at the bottom there were stamped from the Follow Your Heart set from MarketStreetStamps. I used 2 different embossing folders on the front of the card {I think they're from quickutz}.
I put some glossy accents on the hearts. The perfect sentiment is from the Home Sweet Home set from PinkByDesign

And now, totally unrelated to crafting...I just have to say how excited I am for the new season of Teen Mom tonight!!! I just ♥ that show! :) Total guilty pleasure!

Out of difficulties grow miracles

Hiya! I had lots of fun playing with my new distress markers on this card. I stamped the Roses Background stamp from PinkByDesign with embossing ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. The embossing is key here because it creates little "pools" for think ink so the colors don't bleed together. I used spun sugar and worn lipstick distress markers for the roses and shabby shutters and crushed olive for the leaves. I just quickly scribbled on the colors and used a paintbrush and perfect pearls mixed with water to blend out the colors. I swear there is more contrast in person.
I wish the shine showed up better. Oh, I forgot to mention that I used tumbled glass ink for the blue background. I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Believe in Yourself  set also from PinkByDesign. I did it on vellum because I just couldn't stand to cover up that gorges Roses Background! I just ♥ that background!

Happy Birthday

Hello! Here is the birthday card I made for my awesome friend Shar. I stamped the Grace Background from Market Street Stamps and white heat embossed it. {i swear it's not cream} I inked it with spun sugar distress ink and misted with perfect pearls and water in a mini mister to add sparkle. You can kind of see the sparkle here...
I stamped the butterflies from the Believing Butterfly set also from Market Street Stamps. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Good Times set from MyCreativeTime

I hope you're having a nice day....I'm SO EXCITED for the new season of True Blood tonight!! EEK!

Take it slow

Hello! I'm here today with a card made with some adorable Market Street Stamps. I white heat embossed the Woodgrain background and added color with spun sugar distress ink. I ♥ that background! I stamped the super cute snail from the Slow Movin' set twice so I could quick color with spun sugar distress ink and paper piece it back together.
The sentiment is also from the Slow Movin' set. I added some gems and doodles to the shell, and some black enamel accents to the antennae.

Speaking of Market Street Stamps...have you seen their new release??? It's awesome! I ordered yesterday afternoon {and they shipped 3 hours later!}...I can't wait to play with them! :)

Happy Friday peeps!

PeachyKeen and Core'dinations Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the PeachyKeen and Core'dinations Blog Hop! If you have arrived from the PeachyKeen Blog  then you are hopping right along perfectly. If not, head HERE to start at the beginning. For my card I cut out the adorable Tear Bear die from PeachyKeenStamps using Core'dinatins cardstock from the Adirondack Collection. The Tear Bear die comes with 4 faces, but I used the In Stitches Face Assortment set for him instead.
I used the same paper as I did for the Tear Bear for my background. I embossed it with the sizzix tropical floral folder. The I used the Core'dinations Sand It Gadget tool to lightly sand it. The pink paper is from the Jillian Dot Spotted collection from Core'dinations. It comes pre-embossed like that and it's so pretty! The white paper behind the bear is also by Core'dinations.

It's PRIZE time!!! :)

You are eligible to win a $20 gift certificate to PeachyKeenStamps and a paper pack from Core'dinations! Just enter via the widget on the PeachyKeen Blog HERE.
