Sending a little love

Hello! Today's Maskerade class at OnlineCardClasses was about using freezer paper as a mask. Well, I don't have any, so I just used my Post It Paper. I used the Heart To Heart Love Frame Dies from MyCreativeTime to make my mask. I sprayed it with picked raspberry distress ink in a mini mister. I used my heat tool in between layers of spray so the mask wouldn't get saturated...and it worked just great. I added drops of Gold Lame Heidi Swapp color shine. I heat embossed the greeting from the Sending Sunshine set by Wplus9.

I hope you have a GREAT weekend!

Every little thing...

Hello!  Today's Maskerade class at OnlineCardClasses looked at liquid masking. I stamped the Large Flower Background by Hero Arts and used my liquid frisket to mask off the flowers and stems. Then I watercolored with distress inks. I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies and the Stitched Oval Dies {both by MyCreativeTime} to make my shaker. I white heat embossed the Every Little Thing greeting by MyCreativeTime. I filled the shaker with sequins and added wink of stella to the flowers and stems.

MCT Fave Die of the Month

Hello! It's Fave Die Of The Month day again at MyCreativeTime. This month we are featuring the Stitched Message Bubbles Dies. I cut the bubble out of white cardstock, and colored it with my Copics to match my bird. I stamped the bird from the Tweet Me set and colored him with my Copics. I used the Tweet Me Dies to cut out the bird and the branch, which I also colored with Copics. Here's a TIP for using the coordinating dies to cut out images....I use the die to cut out a scrap piece of cardstock, and then I line up the negative space over the image and pop the die in the negative. I use some washi tape to hold it in place while I run it through my machine. I do this because off kilter/uneven images really bum me out. :) I finished the card off with some wink of stella, sequins, and glossy accents.

Got fries to go with that shake? and a SALE

Hello! I had so much fun coloring this adorable container of fries! And that sentiment??? Gah, so fun! The fries and the greeting are from the Spring Loaded set by PeachyKeenStamps. This set is so fun, and full of great stamps to use with super fun interactive cards. The Spring Loaded set comes with a super cute face, but I used a face from the Sweet On You Face Assortment. I thought she looked a little "cheeky" to go along with the greeting. :) I stamped the card base with the Picnic Tablecloth Background by PeachyKeenStamps. OH and I put the fries on a WOBBLE so they shake!

BTW... My hubs came down and saw these fries right when I finished coloring them...he grabbed the keys and went to Mickey D's to get fries! Pavlovian? ;)

For a friend like gnome one else

Hello! I made a card to play along in the current MyFavoriteThings Challenge. The challenge is to follow the above sketch. Here is my take on it...
I used the You Gnome Me set by MyFavoriteThings. I made my panel with the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More Dies and the Bunch Of Fun Circles Dies by MyCreativeTime. I traced the circles onto another piece of cardstock so I could stamp my cute little gnomes. I used my Copic markers to color the gnomes. The greeting is also from the You Gnome Me set by MyFavoriteThings. I just adore those little guys! :)

I hope you're having a wonderful week! I am expecting some fun crafty deliveries soon...I may have taken a flying leap onto the foiling bandwagon. ;)

Hello! You should have arrived from Lucia's Blog, if not, head HERE to start at the beginning. For my card today I have used the fabulous new Light The Candles Stamp/Die set. I started by creating my background with one of the greetings from the Light The Candles set. I stamped it repeatedly on a diagonal with Soft Granite Hero Arts Shadow ink. I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies and the Bunch Of Fun Circles dies to create my shaker. I used vellum for the window. I colored and paper pieced my sweet cupcake. I used my Copics for the frosting, cherry, and shading on the paper pieced cupcake wrapper. I cut it out using the coordinating die in the Light The Candles set. To finish it off, I added tons of Wink Of Stella... and glossy accents on the cherry. :)

Hello

Hello! My new goodies from MyFavoriteThings arrived yesterday, and I am SO HAPPY with how my first card with them turned out. I made this to play along in the current CHALLENGE, following the above sketch. Here's my take on it...
HAHAHA! I laughed pretty much the whole time I was making this! LOL!!! I used the new The Whole Herd set for the cow, and the You Gnome Me set for his rider! HA! I stamped the cow twice so I could cut off his head and pop it up. Don't worry, he didn't scream.
I colored the images with my Copics. I made the background scene with cracked pistachio and tumbled glass distress inks. The greeting is from the You Gnome Me set. I used my fave Candy Stripe background from PeachyKeenStamps for the card base. Finished it off with a few sequins.

I hope you're enjoying your day!

I started by stamping my panel with the Stripey Background with Coral Reef Simon Says Stamp ink. LOVE this coral color. I used the Lost At Sea set for the dies to make my shaker. I used the Surf's Up set to cut the starfish and shell. I inked them with that Coral Reef ink. I gold heat embossed the greeting from the Surf's Up set. Just BTW, I love how this turned out! ;)

MCT- Made In Minutes

Hello! It's Made In Minutes Monday at MyCreativeTime. It's also my birthday today! :) So I made a birthday card that I'd love to receive. Anything with a kitty on it is aces in my book. :) I started by stamping the party hat from the Tweet Me set. Then I masked it off and stamped the kitty from the You Had Me At Meow over it. This way it puts the hat on kitty's head. Then I just had fun experimenting with my Copics. It's not "purrfect", but I like it. ;) I added some lines, dots, and squiggles with my white gel pen. The greeting is also from the You Had Me At Meow set. I used the Stitched Rectangular Frames And More dies for the panel and card base.

Boombox Shaker Card

Hiya! Happy Friday to you! This is the birthday card I made for my brother. :) I used a chevron stencil and Hero Arts Shadow inks in tide pool, orange soda, butter bar, soft granite, and charcoal to make the patterned paper. I made the boombox shaker using the Groovy Times Cricut cartridge. I did some "contour hiding" so I could make room to hide my foam tape. I cut all the pieces from white and inked them with the same colors I used for the patterned paper. I filled the shaker with Martha Stewart stars glitter. I used the Label Font stamp set from MyCreativeTime to make my greeting.

OH one last thing...SALE ALERT! :)
